Waterfront Villa in Cap Martin
Within the Riviera’s finest domain and surrounded by the properties of famous neighbours (such as Empress Sissi, Empress Eugenie, Christina Onassis, Mobutu of Zaire) the ” VILLA” is available for rental for the first summer rental since 1961, when it was bought by its present owners.
Situated on the iconic ” Domaine Privé du Cap Martin ” and only a stone’s throw from Monaco, the prestige villa is part of a magic world of fabulously grand properties dating back to 1890 and built in the midst of vast gardens stretching down to the Mediterranean.
A rare world of beauty and serenity, enjoying the privileges of calm, privacy and safety.
The “VILLA” was designed and decorated by Tommasso Buzzi and has a beautiful lawned garden, more than one hectare in area, stretching down to the sea.
It has its own sun-bathing platform and direct access to the sea water. In addition, a large 20 meter seawater swimming pool and its surrounding facilities can accommodate more than 100 guests on a vast terrace offering striking sea views of Monte Carlo.
The main residence has eight elegant guest bedrooms with their own bathrooms, three reception rooms, a formal dining room for 24 guests and terraces facing South West with spectacular sea views.
The reception rooms include a very elegant salon leading to a library/TV room with rare Cordoba leather wall coverings, all leading to terraces with spectacular panoramic views to the sea.
Two cottages are conserved for the accommodation of on-site staff with a total of 9 staff rooms.
Price and further information upon request exclusively through Caroline Olds Real Estate, Monaco.
The tenant has the option of renting the villa with resident staff, including a Michelin star quality chef, an assistant chef, a butler, valets, a beach boy and maids. The property is uniquely offered for the months of August and September 2016 with an option to repeat the same rental in 2017.
Cap Martin, one of the three Great Riviera capes, used to be the hunting estate of the Princes of Monaco in older times. Towards the end of the 19th century, it became the favourite residence of European nobility, within easy reach of modern, fashionable Monte Carlo, its Casino, Opera House and other attractions.
Most of Cap Martin consists of vast estates with their own huge mansions, mainly dating back to the early 1900’s, lined by towering pine, cypress and palm trees. Since the Cap is a peninsula, there is little passing traffic and striking sea views on all sides. It is accessible easily both from Monaco and Italy and only a short 35 minute drive from Nice International Airport.
